My Story
""For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt different—full of ideas and drive, but held back by a world focused on “We do it this way”. At school, I struggled to fit in and was told I “wouldn’t amount to anything”. That stuck with me for years, and even as I earned a Master’s degree and led healthcare transformation projects across the world, that feeling of not being good enough never left.
The turning point came when my son started experiencing the same struggles. I knew how bright, creative, and caring he was, but teachers saw him as a disruption. When he was diagnosed as neurodivergent, I threw myself into learning everything I could about ASD and ADHD. As I read more, I saw my own story in his. It was in those 'me too' moments that I sought my own diagnosis.
Being diagnosed with ADHD was both a relief and a revelation. I went through a period of grief, looking back at years of frustration and self-doubt that I now understood. But once I embraced it, I started to see ADHD for what it really is— a different way of thinking, full of creativity, energy, and unique problem-solving.
I asked my son why he thought ADHD is great and he said, “if you had 5 people with the same brain looking at a problem, they will all come up with the same answer and will miss the brilliance”. I couldn’t put it better myself.
Now, through Apricity Solutions, I’m passionate about helping others on their ADHD journey. I believe that ADHD is a superpower - Together, we can embrace the way your mind works and turn it into your greatest strength”.
